1981 Hugh Hudson directed film “Chariots of Fire” comes to Blu-ray in July

Warner officially plans to bring the Academy Award-winning 1981 Hugh Hudson directed film “Chariots of Fire” starring Ben Cross, Ian Charleson and Nicholas Farrell to Blu-ray Disc on July 10th. Tech specs for the release have not yet been officially detailed but we do know it will be in full 1080p Hi-Def video with DTS-HD Master Audio sound on a BD-50 (50 gigabyte dual-layered Blu-ray Disc). The title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $24.99 price tag. The release will come in the form of a “DigiBook“, 32 pages total in length with behind-the-scenes photos, production art, production history and trivia. A CD Sampler featuring some of the most famous songs from the soundtrack will also be included. Below you’ll find a list of bonus materials set to be included.
