1984 film “The Muppets Take Manhattan” coming to Blu-ray in August

Sony officially has plans to bring the 1984 Frank Oz directed film “The Muppets Take Manhattan featuring Jim Henson‘s “Muppets” to Blu-ray Disc on August 16th. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p Hi-Def video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The release is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $17.99 price tag. This film and “Muppets from Space” are both being released (obviously) in promotion for the upcoming 2011 film “The Muppets” due out in theaters in November. The bonus materials set to be included on this “combo pack” release, in addition to a DVD of the film on a second disc, are listed below.
