In an early alert to retailers MGM (distributed by FOX) has made public their plans to bring the 1986 David Lynch film “Blue Velvet” starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern to Blu-ray Disc on November 8th. Tech specs for the release have not been announced but you can very likely expect full 1080p and a lossless 5.1 mix supervised by Lynch himself as he mentioned in reviews earlier in the year. No official word yet on bonus materials for this “25th Anniversary Edition” of the film but stay tuned. The title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $17.49 price tag. For those who have never seen the film you’ll find the trailer embedded after the break.
