2012 version of “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” on Blu-ray & Blu-ray 3D in August

In an early alert to retailers Universal Studios Home Entertainment has made public their plans to bring the 2012 CG animated adaptation of “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” featuring the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle and Betty White to both Blu-ray Disc (in 2D) and Blu-ray 3D on August 7th. The releases will both be “combo pack” with DVD, Digital Copy and UltraViolet digital copy included. The Blu-ray 3D will also include the Blu-ray (2D) version as well. Both versions are already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with the Blu-ray Disc carrying a $24.96 price tag and the Blu-ray 3D carrying a $27.99 price tag.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the releases include full 1080p Hi-Def video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound on a BD-50 (50 gigabyte dual-layered Blu-ray Disc). Below you’ll find a list of the bonus material set to be included.
