Universal Studios have announced their first wave of October HD DVD titles

Universal Studios Home Video have announced their first wave of US HD DVD catalogue titles for October 2007. Wave 1 is due on the 23rd and includes: Brian De Palma’s “Carlito’s Way“, the direct-to-disc prequel “Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power“, Spike Lee’s “Inside Man” and the latest in the Chucky franchise, “Seed of Chucky.”
Retail is $29.98 MSRP each (which means they’ll be $19.95 on Amazon).
NOTE: The release dates page for HD DVD has been updated with these titles and release date.
All titles are presented in 1080p 16:9 (Widescreen) with English Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio alongside optional English SDH and French subtitles.
