It had been previously rumored but now it’s confirmed in the trade ad (pictured above). Warner officially has plans to bring the 2009 New Line thriller “Orphan” to Blu-ray Disc on October 27th — just in time for “Halloween”. Bonus materials are set to include an alternate ending, additional scenes, a Digital Copy of the film as well as a featurette titled “Mama’s Little Devils: Bad Seeds, Evil Kids and Orphan“. Tech specs will include full 1080p Hi-Def video in VC-1 codec and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound.

UPDATE: This title is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $24.99 price tag.

  2. Isabelle Fuhrman’s great excuse for consideration in this years Academy Awards for her brilliant performance. A Best Supporting Actress category is deserving for her role as Esther. Man, she was incredible in the role! Both engaging and eerie. As a side note that the movie itself was a big surprise, it was actually much much better than what the trailer made it out to be.

  3. P.S Ahhh, I know mistakes happen but Orphan is actually coming directly from Warner Bros and Dark Castle alone, New Line (aka WB or A Time Warner) did not have any conjunction in its production.

  4. I’ll have to agree with the above poster and go even further, this movie was one of the best of the year so far. It’s strange really, that this and Drag Me To Hell have been the real highlights of the year for me.
