  2. Worst attempt in box office receipts, this strategically tanked! They way I had planned. Which am glad it did, as this film was nothing more than a sappy-o-drama that despite not aiming towards comedy, the few laughs that it had were undoubtedly dried up jokes that felt flat on every surface level. 3. Wow, I loved this movie. Thought it was Apatow’s best yet. Hell, I even feel like it deserves some oscar nods. I liked it that much.

  4. I’m going to have to agree with you there James. Loved how the film mixed comedy and drama. Show’s the depth Apatow has a director. He doesn’t need to just do the slapstick material.

  5. I agree on one hand, but not on the other. I did feel for Sandler’s character, he truly engages the audience, mainly so through the expressions on his face right after he knows the bad news concerning his life. Now, what affected my likeness to this movie was that it was far too long, the little jokes that it had were dried out and were forced too much, in other words, they were trying to hard. The character of Leslie Mann (Apatow’s wife) was obnoxious and irritating on every level, Eric Bana had the worst accent ever, and Rogen’s character was the least convincing, so not Seth Rogen. It was more the dislike towards the characters than the actual storyline itself.
