Lionsgate has officially announced plans to bring the 2009 vampire film “Daybreakers” to Blu-ray Disc on May 11th. The film was co-wrote and co-directed by brothers Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig plus stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Isabel Lucas and Sam Neill. Tech specs have not yet been officially announced but stay tuned and we will keep you updated. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $29.99 price tag. The bonus materials are set to include the following:
In-depth bonus materials include the featurette, “Making of Daybreakers,” audio commentary with the directors and special effects creator Steve Boyle, a poster gallery and the theatrical trailer. Exclusive to the Blu-ray Disc is an extended feature-length version of the “Making of Daybreakers” that spans the filmmaking process, a short film from the directors entitled “The Big Picture,” Bonus View™ Storyboard and Animatics film comparison and a second disc containing digital copy.

I like the artwork but did they really need to put Isabel Lucas’ name on the cover. She was onscreen for a total of like 3 min. Is she really that popular, I mean I know she was in TF2 but c’mon.
