Universal is bringing “MacGruber” to Blu-ray in September

In an early alert to retailers Universal has announced plans to bring the 2010 SNL (Saturday Night Live) original movie “MacGruber” starring Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, and Val Kilmer to Blu-ray Disc on September 7th. The release is going to include both the UNRATED version of the film as well as the Theatrical (rated) version via seamless branching, a normal thing now on Universal’s Blu-ray releases. Speaking of “the norm” for Universal Blu-ray releases, tech specs haven’t been announced but I’d say you can expect full 1080p Hi-Def video and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound.
