MGM has apparently plans to bring the 1987 Mel Brooks Directed parody “Spaceballs” to Blu-ray Disc on June 16th according to an early alert to retailers. No information regarding the release has been issued yet but there is a PRE-ORDER listing over at Amazon.com with a $20.99 price tag and movie cash included according to the description. Now, what this “movie cash” is for as in for what upcoming theatrical film coming out around June that is related to this I’m not really certain as of yet but I’m sure there’s some relevance here. This is afterall a parody of “Star Wars” so maybe it has something to do with that franchise coming to Blu-ray Disc finally? I’m just speculating here, don’t quote me on that. Regardless, be sure to keep checking back often for updates on this news with further details as we get them.
