According to Blu-ray.com, Paramount has announced plans to bring the 2005 remake of “War of the Worlds” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise to Blu-ray Disc on June 1st.
UPDATE: We’ve received the press release stating that tech specs will include full 1080p Hi-Def video and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon with a $20.99 price tag. Bonus materials set to be included are listed below (taken from the press release).

If this has DTS-MA I will kiss Paramount. My number one film for killing subwoofers. Hells yeah.
It’s still going to look like a bootleg on Blu-ray(I likes my grain, but this was a bit much). But the sound should be spectacular.
