The 2012 Steven Spielberg directed, “Oscar” (Academy Award) nominated, film “Lincoln” starring Daniel Day-Lewis is said to be coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 26th, 2013 via Touchstone Home Entertainment (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment) — according to an early alert to retailers. The film, nominated for a total of 12 Oscars, co-stars Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned. The release it appears (from cover art) will be a “combo pack” with a DVD of the film included and perhaps even a Digital Copy — although not confirmed. We’ll hopefully have more details on this release soon.
UPDATE: Amazon has removed the pre-order listing for this. Seems it went up a bit too early. I’d say you can expect the release date to still be March 26th though.
The trailer for the film can be found below after the break.
