The 2025 film Sinners on 4K and Blu-ray in July

The 2025 film “Sinners” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray on July 8th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Ryan Coogler wrote, produced, and directed the movie. It stars Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo. This movie is “Certified Fresh” based on critics and is also “Verified Hot” based on audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
Home video releases will feature the IMAX aspect ratio (for select scenes) and shift to a different aspect ratio. Here’s a statement specifically concerning that (taken from the press release).
“Sinners will be presented with expanded aspect ratio sequences, allowing consumers to see both 1.78:1 and 2.76:1 aspect ratios, as intended by the filmmaker for home viewing.”
This variable includes a 2.76:1 aspect ratio and a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The 4K release will feature both HDR10 and Dolby Vision for high dynamic range. The 4K and Blu-ray will each include Dolby Atmos sound. The Blu-ray will also feature the same tech specs for the aspect ratio of IMAX footage. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Hawkeye The First Season comes to 4K in December

The Disney+ original Marvel Studios series “Hawkeye – The Complete First Season” will be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 3rd via Marvel Studios (Disney). The show stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Fra Fee, Aleks Paunovic, and Linda Cardellini.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, spanning across a 2-disc set (each on a BD-100 disc).
UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder at Amazon. This will be a collector’s edition set physically featuring 3 exclusive concept art cards. The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

Arcane Season One comes to 4K and Blu-ray in October

The animated TV series “Arcade: League of Legends – Season One” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, Blu-ray Disc SteelBook, and standard Blu-ray Disc on October 8th via GKIDS / Shout! Factory. The show, as seen on Netflix, features the voice talents of Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro, Jason Spisak, Harry Lloyd, Toks Olagundoye, JB Blanc, Amirah Vann, Katie Leung, and Mia Sinclair Jenness. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and uncompressed audio (likely in 2.0 Stereo, although not yet confirmed), spanning across a 3-disc set. Tech specs for the Blu-ray releases include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and uncompressed audio, spanning a 3-disc set.
